Summer Camp
Delhi Public School Tapi conducted a week-long activity for classes III to V focusing on the seven themes of “Mission Life” which gave a valuable experience for children, promoting sustainable living and environmental awareness. Activities like poster making helped children to brainstorm the ways to save energy, water and games played gave an exposure to think ways to reduce waste and conserve energy. Students were also encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle by asking them to bring healthy tiffin every day.
The essay writing activity on “A Living Witness: An Essay through the Eyes of a Tree" gave an opportunity to students to explore their local environment and identify the oldest existing tree in their neighbourhood. They analyzed the tree’s role in the ecosystem and also understood its contribution to biodiversity and habitat preservation. The essays written by children showed a good understanding of the role of trees in preserving biodiversity and habitat. The activities helped students to think critically and creatively about their relationship with nature.
