Mock Evacuation Drill
A mock Fire Evacuation Drill was conducted for Classes Nursery to XII students on 26 June 2024 to raise awareness about disaster management. The drill aimed to train staff, teachers and students, testing the prepared response plan. Following the fire alarm, students were safely evacuated from classrooms, with few staircases blocked to simulate fire conditions. They gathered at the playground, the designated safe zone and the building was evacuated within four to five minutes. A head count was conducted to ensure everyone was accounted for. Students were advised to remain calm, stay with their teachers and follow instructions during emergencies.
The drill successfully trained everyone involved, ensuring they were prepared to respond swiftly and safely in an emergency. The exercise highlighted the importance of staying calm and following instructions during a disaster.
