Assembly: Baisakhi
Each year, Baisakhi, the agricultural festival symbolizing happiness and prosperity, is celebrated on the first day of the Hindu month of Vaisakh. Students of Class VII-B organized ‘Baisakhi Assembly’ on 15 April 2024. They performed a skit illustrating its significance, portraying the onset of the summer season and the founding of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Additionally, they shed light on the celebration of Vaisakhi in Bengal (known as Poila Baisakh) and Assam (known as Bohag Bihu). The assembly featured lively performances of Bhangra, Bengali and Assamese Bihu dances, fostering a deeper appreciation for India's festivals and diverse cultural heritage among the audience.
