International Yoga Day
DPS Tapi celebrated International Yoga Day 2024 on 21 June 2024 with enthusiasm, aligning with the United Nations' initiative to promote the benefits of yoga. The school adhered to the 'Common Yoga Protocol' developed by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, which provides a standardized sequence of yoga postures suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Utilizing resources such as handbooks and video tutorials available in 22 Indian languages, the event was inclusive and well-organized. Students from VI to XII, along with teachers, participated actively, showcasing their dedication to incorporating yoga into their daily routines.
In addition to the practice session, classes IX-XII at DPS Tapi organized various competitions and initiatives by the Ministry of Ayush, including Essay Writing, Poem Writing, Speech Writing and Article Writing. The school also facilitated participation in the Yoga Quiz, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Ayush and the MyGov platform, enabling students and teachers to test and enhance their knowledge of yoga. This event significantly strengthened the school's commitment to promoting the timeless wisdom of yoga among its students and faculty.
